Release 2012
The new features in this release include:
- Meridian rendition streams are supported as a destination system. Vault documents can be rendered and stored as renditions of the same documents.
- SharePoint is supported as a source system in addition to the previous support as a destination system. A solution package can be installed in SharePoint to show Publisher commands and options in the ribbon within SharePoint.
- Legacy module – A wrapper for custom Visual Basic 6 publishing modules that were developed for Publisher 2009a and prior. This makes the modules compatible with the present generation of Publisher.
- AutoCAD rendering module – Layouts, pen tables, and hardcopy output options have been added. An AutoLISP function is provided to render drawings to Navisworks NWD and 3D formats.
- MicroStation rendering module – Macro support has been added to give greater control of the rendering output.
- VBScript publishing and rendering options – The BlueCielo Meridian system link now supports the _CDWF_<WorkflowDefinitionName>;<WorkflowStateName>_,_RETIRE_, _NORELEASE_, and _DATA_ONLY_ publishing options. The _NORENDER_, and _NOPOSTRENDER_ options have been added to the rendering modules. For more information, see the BlueCielo Publisher Administrator’s Guide.
- Highly configurable watermark features have been added that can modify PDF output after rendering:
- Electronic signatures can be applied on the rendition or a separate signature page.
- Overlaid text can be applied on the rendition.
- Print stamp text can be calculated using JavaScript and applied to the rendition.
- Prior revisions of renditions can be watermarked to indicate their revised status.
- Publisher computer clustering for maximum performance. Publishing job definitions can be divided among multiple Publisher computers to perform parallel rendering.
- Near real-time publishing for critical documents.
- The times shown when viewing a document’s details in the Publisher queue now appear in local time.
The time values stored in the Publisher database remain in UTC format.
